TOP 100 CAW MATCHES OF 2020! 6-1!

  • 6. CCL March Madness Day 14 03/30/20 Jamal Bedlam vs Mason Kronik vs Sly Cooper ***** +12
     - One thing that has been cool about wrestling in general are usually tournaments. Tournaments allow you to build up certain wrestlers in a short amount of time, while also interlacing storylines that could be brought up after the tournament is over. If done affectively, a tournament can get newer and upcoming stars a chance to show they belong in the world title picture. Enter March Madness 2020 finals where Sly Cooper became the ultimate underdog against the likes of Mason Kronik and Jamal Bedlam. With two men of giant stature, this looked like it was going to be a challenge for Sly in the finals of this match and it most certainly was. Jamal and Kronik would overpower Sly easily, while Sly had to rely on his speed to get him by. As the match went on, you started cheer Sly more and more as he put on one hell of a performance between two bonafide main eventers. And when it came down to the last few moments of the match, this made for quite the exhilarating thrill ride. Just pure chaos throughout the whole match and it made all 3 men look like superstars by the end of it. Phenomenal finals match for March Madness.

  • 5. CCL Black Friday 11/27/20 East Coast Connection vs Future Foundation ***** +13
ECC and Future Foundation are two of the most prolific teams in the virtual wrestling scene today. On one hand you have Jamal and Walter. Two men that have made their names all over the virtual wrestling world and have proven to be quite the formidable duo as well. Meanwhile, you have Tommy Kazarian and Matt Phoenix. Two men that are legends within the CCL hierarchy and will probably go down as one of, if not the, best tag teams in all of virtual wrestling. Now what happens when you put these two teams in the ring for the CAS and CCL tag team titles? A tag team clinic. From bell to bell, these two teams didn’t give the other an inch. Beating each other from pillar to post, while also providing some the best tag team action you will see on a 2K game. I know for a fact that the tag team mechanics in 2K are the worst, but when someone puts this much effort into making that whole ordeal work, you have to acknowledge it. So much effort went into this match and it shows through the whole damn thing. Just simply amazing.

  • 4. ROV X: Burial At Seattle PART 1 10/18/20 Codie Hale vs Yanna Doyle vs Vixen Odilia ***** +13
    - It’s hard for me to pin point what Ring of Vengeance is exactly. At some points, it seems like a legit wrestling show with an independent feel. Showcasing the newest wrestlers on virtual wrestling scene. But on the other hand, it’s like a damn circus! Everything is thrown into chaos and you never know what exactly is going to happen next. Whatever it may be, there is no denying that ROV makes itself stick out from all of the other CAW leagues out there. And that can be due to its pure insanity… Or because of matches like these. To say that Dashon Walton is a mad man would be an understatement. He’s a guy that obviously pays attention to what he watches and add’s his own twist to it and you can certainly see it with this match. Code, Yanna, and Vixen was a match I was not expecting to be as good as it was. With cage matches, you’re kind of limited in what you can do, but Walton worked his magic with this one. Adding death defying moments, hard hitting spots, and some dope ass editing, you would have to be a fool to not see the hard work that went into this match. Absolutely stunning and a damn good effort from ROV.

  • 3. RCCW 5 Way Dance Part 4 05/28/20 Twilight Sparkle vs Sunset Shimmer ***** +13
    - When you watch a show like RCCW, it’s hard not to get caught up on the fun aspects of it, because there are a lot of them. However, when it’s time to get serious, they can get SERIOUS. Enter Twilight Sparkle vs Sunset Shimmer. Now I know what you’re thinking, “Ponies? Really?” And at first, I’ll admit, I was a bit skeptical myself. However, once I saw the video package and everything leading up to it, I was immediately intrigued. They had got my attention and I wanted to see the match. And good god, did this not disappoint. Just pure, unadulterated violence for the main event of 5 Way Dance. But it wasn’t just a death match for the sake of a death match, this had an actual story built around it. It’s a story of someone finally reaching their breaking point and when they lose all since of reality, what else do they truly have left to lose? And from that point, it’s just a bloodbath. Absolutely grimy from beginning to end, to the point where it kind of makes you feel uncomfortable after a little while. It really pushes the envelope and leaves you at a bit of gasp. Do yourself a favor and look up this match yourself and be the judge. I can only tell you to go into it with an open mind. And whether you love it or don’t, you can’t deny that you certainly felt something by the end of it.

  • 2. UCWL Holy Shit-A-Mania 03/22/20 Naruto Uzumaki vs Monkey D Luffy vs Ichigo Kurosaki ***** +13
    - I thought for sure that this was going to be my number one pick for the year of 2020. Even before the match happened, I knew that this was going to be something special. When V-Pac has a story that he wants to tell to the world, he can be just as good as any CAW promoter there is or ever has been. And it shows remarkably in this main event match for Holy Shit-A-Mania. The Shonen 3. Luffy, Naruto, & Ichigo. Three of the biggest names in anime all going at for that UCWL World Heavyweight Title. And what a glorious match it was. I’m not going to go into every detail of the match, but good god is it a thrill ride. From the commentators, to the entrances, to the match itself, everything about this is just amazing. And the fact that you never know what you can expect from V during matches like these is what made this all the better. It really seemed that, by the end of it, anyone could’ve walked away with the belt. And by the end of it, you can help but to get up and cheer because of how damn wonderful the whole thing was. I can not honestly do this match justice just by typing about it. You HAVE to experience this match otherwise it’s just wasted time. Well done, V.

  • 1. ACW Ground Zero 12/05/20 Revy vs Akame ***** +14
    - I know that this might come as a bit of a shock to people, and to be quite honest, it kind of shocked me to. When I heard this match was announced, I figured it was going to be a fight from the get go and, for the most part, I was right. But, dear god almighty, I did NOT expect this match to blow me away like it did. This is probably as perfect of a hardcore match as you can possibly get. Doesn’t go too long nor too short, It keeps a thrilling pace throughout the entire match, and the big hardcore moments mean something and literally pop you out of your seat. The commentary is spectacular, the storytelling is superb, and the action for the whole thing is just down right amazing. You can certainly see the amount of effort that went into this one match because it is so well done. From the editing, to the audio, all the way to the presentation, everything about this match is just damn near flawless. I honestly don’t want to give too much away by talking about the match itself. I’ll just say that for someone who isn’t even a big hardcore wrestling fan himself, this blew me away more than any other match this year and I mean that with full sincerity. GO WATCH THIS!
