CAW[n]SPIRACY NIGHT 3 REVIEW!

AND WE ARE BACK FOR ANOTHER SPECTACULAR EDITION OF ZAIAH MELTZER'S CAW SHOW REVIEWS!
We are still doing CAW[n]spiracy shows and we are going to continue our little marathon by going straight into Night 3!
As always, these are my non-kayfaybe opinions and probably shouldn't be taken too seriously. With that said, ON TO THE REVIEW!
CAW[n]SPIRACY NIGHT 3 STAR RATINGS:
Lena Chiliengarian vs Athena - DWF Women’s Championship - ***1/4 (A way less confusing match up than the last DWF match I saw on this show and also a pretty good way to start off the show. Not too long and did its job at setting the pace. The story seemed to be if Lena had what it took to take down the monstrous Athena. She started the match off strong and even caught her off guard with her striking based offense. Athena would fight back though and even hit her signature power bomb for the almost victory. From then on Athena got caught slipping and Lena would take advantage with one more swift roundhouse kick to the head to become the new Women’s Champion. A good, quick little match with a feel good moment at the end.)
Team XGWL (Apollo, Trey Steele, Tommy Kazarian, & Jimmy Nicmeri) vs The Anarchists (Sherman Samson, Rick Acid, Slash, & Spector) - *3/4 (This match almost went on FOR 40 MINUTES! Look I get that multi man tag matches on the 2K engine are unbearable, but for the love of god, could some of you edit these down so that they are not so fucking long? I mean this was almost completely unwatchable at points. There was no semblance of a story. The action was weak, and there were no wild or crazy moments to keep you invested. It was just a straight forward and simple tag match for almost 40 minutes. This whole thing needed to be cut in half BADLY! This was just too much. Way too much.)
Bowser vs Thanos - ****1/4 (Well this was certainly way different from the match proceeding this one… And in all of the good ways too. This was just a short and sweet Kaiju battle in every sense of the word. These two beat the unholy shit out of each other and nearly destroyed the arena in the process. Bowser and Thanos hit every big move they could think of that came in the form of power bombs, choke slams, spears, and so much more. Every time you though the match was over, one of them would kick out and leave you in shock. It wasn’t until Thanos tried to play mind games with Bowser, where he would finally slips up and Bowser would take advantage, hit another K-5, and get the victory. This is everything I would’ve wanted from this match, so in that way, it was a success to me.)
PG-13 vs Mike Kizzar - SWF Championship - ****1/4 (Another really great contest. Probably one of the best matches that I’ve seen end in controversial fashion before. SWF has always been a grade A, solid company with a lot of story driven matches and this one was no different. I loved how the commentators played up the fact that the crowd was starting to turn on Mike after what happened at Mind Games and how he had to work his ass off just get a little bit of approval in this contest. I also liked how PG-13 took advantage pf every opportunity that was given to him. As soon as Mike made a mistake, PG-13 would capitalize and make him look foolish or work him over in the process. It’s got great pacing, great wrestling, and an overall great story. What more could you ask for?)
Alex James vs Bobby Mitchell - ***1/4 (Decent match up. A pretty standard match to be quite honest. Especially after the last two matches. These two didn’t do anything too spectacular and you could certainly tell that the drama was lacking. Moves seemed to come from out of nowhere and there never seemed to be much of a story to be told here. Everything was done pretty well, which is were most of this match is getting its points from. Everything is well edited and pieces together just fine. It just never goes past “fine” or “good” and just stays at a certain neutral speed for the majority of this match. I will say that the finish of this contest was really well done and was a good way to cap off the match. Good match, but nothing fantastic.)
Destiny Williams vs Trish Stratus - VWU SoulSilver Championship - ***3/4 (A really good way to wrap up Night 3 of CAW[n]spiracy. This was a really well worked contest with a very satisfying conclusion to say the least. The match started off a bit slow, but really picked near the middle stage and finishing sequence. Trish started to get more desperate as the match went on and even relied on using low blows and going after Destiny’s injured leg for a good portion of this contest. Destiny was the human highlight reel yet again. Catching Trish with high flying, power, and even technical moves throughout this contest. I think that if this match had a bit more drama and some more false finishes thrown in there, it could’ve really transcended into being a great main event. It just missed the mark but not by much. A damn good effort from both women)
OVERALL SCORE: 7.25/10 (This was certainly a better show than Night 1, but it didn’t quite match up to Night 2 tho. The opening contest and Mitchell vs James were alright and the main marquee matches all delivered. But that multi man tag match taking up nearly a QUARTER of the show’s running time is where this show really just hits a brick wall. If that match would’ve been shortened or quite possibly changed, this show would have a much higher rating. Unfortunately, One bad apple can sometimes ruin the bunch, and that’s exactly what the case was here.)
