SEA Alliance Episode #41 Review

ARE YOU READY?! WELL IF NOT, TOO BAD! BECAUSE IT'S TIME FOR ANOTHER CAW REVIEW WITH YOUR HOST, ZAIAH MELTZER!
On this edition of Meltzer's CAW Reviews, we've got a special one on deck, because this is the first show i've done that isn't on WWE 2K18 or 19! Today, we are looking at SEA Alliance Episode #41. A Show completely ran on Fire Pro Wrestling!
As always, these are my non-kayfaybe opinions and probably shouldn't be taken too seriously. With that said, ON TO THE REVIEW!

SEA Alliance Episode #41 Star Ratings
Toshimi Minami vs Cecilia Flores - SEA Television Championship - **** (This is a new one considering I’ve never reviewed a show that was primarily Fire Pro, but I’m not going to complain about it. Especially after this opening contest. This match was so great. I’ve said before that I think its impossible to have a bad match on a fire pro game and it might be damn well true after seeing this. These two traded submissions, kicks, suplexes, and anything else you could possibly think of. Minami seemed to stay more grounded, while Cecilia much preferred to use more high impact moves to take her opponent down and, with all of those individual elements to their wrestling styles, they were able to execute a great wrestling match to start the show. Filled with some great counters, submission holds I have never seen before, and a damn good finishing stretch.)
Saya vs Samus - ***3/4 (What in the ungodly fuck was this match. This was just insane. These two were pulling out double rotation moonsaults like it was nothing at some points in this thing. That’s how crazy this shit got. This one didn’t have much of a structure as the previous match did and it also suffered a bit thanks to the constant rope breaks. However, what it lacked in structure, it made up in pure unpredictability and some heated moments. It legit seemed like these two wanted to kill each other at most points in this contest. I could’ve sworn I say Samus try to rip Saya’s head off at least twice in this thing. A short but very sweet battle.)
Gullwingss vs Time Paradox - ***1/2 (If there is one thing that Fire Pro does not excel at it would be their tag team matches. While they are still enjoyable, most of them just end up as huge clusters that usually confuse the A.I and that doesn’t change for this contest. The beginning was a bit rough for both teams as both sides seemed to have a hard time of hitting moves and getting in some successful tag team offense. I will say tho that the dirty brawler style fits Chloe Price so damn well and showed more character in this match than most CAW’s nowadays. The match started to pick up towards the middle and finished up with an insane ending sequence. So you could argue that this was pretty well built up. Gullwings looked the most impressive as a tag team, but I believe that it was Chloe who was the true star in this match.)
Aqua vs Rainbow Mika - ****1/2 (WHAT A FUCKING MATCH THIS WAS! I did not expect this type of contest from these two, but I’m very glad I got it. It started out, surprisingly enough, with Aqua gaining the advantage early on. Even breaking out a top rope tiger superplex of all things. So that was nuts. And then it got even nuttier as it went on. Rainbow Mika would fight back against Aqua and would go on to control the later half of this contest and breaking out at least two vertabreakers on Aqua. From that point on, this match just got crazy as both women started hitting big move after big move. Uncertain on when or how the match was going to end. And by the end of it, you’re kind of upset either woman has to lose because they’re both putting on show stealing performances. Excellent match!)
Lucina vs El Diablo - ***1/2 (This was a very physical contest. Much different from everything else we have seen from this show so far. Both of these women were more content on beating the hell out of one another than having an actual wrestling match it seemed. I mean it worked for me because I enjoyed this immensely. I enjoyed Diablo just showing her cocky attitude as the match went on. Even so much as to using her single foot as pin just to mock her opponent. Lucina actually had to fight a lot in order to get back into the contest, so there was a bit of a personal story going on as the match went on. This wasn’t as high fast paced as the others, but it was certainly just as hard hitting, if not more so.)
Aya vs Rage - **3/4 (This was hard to watch tbh. Not because the match was bad or anything it’s just… Poor Aya. She really didn’t stand much of a chance against Rage, huh? This is about as close of a squash match that will probably ever see in a Fire Pro Game. Aya tried to fight with the best of her abilities and she most certainly got her shots in. However, it was the pure strength and sadistic nature of Rage that ultimately the deciding factor for this one. If the whole point of this thing was to make Rage out to be this unstoppable monster than mission accomplished. This was just a brutal beatdown.)
Sakura Higwara, Rio Kazama, Moe Fukuoka, Misakai Toyoda vs Dark Star Chaos, Jackal Tojo, Panther Risako, Chris Morgan - ***1/2 (A pretty good main event to close out the show even tho Sakura FUCKING DIED! But I digress, this was pretty entertaining to watch through. I thought the beginning stages weren’t anything to write home about, pretty much like the last tag match, but I feel like it got better and better as the match went on. The MVP of this thing definitely goes to Chris Morgan for her performance in this contest. There was a point where she battled every single person on the opposing team, at the same time, and still find a way to be the last one standing. An absolute stellar performance on her end. The ending sequence between Dark Star and Misaki is also something you should go out of your way to see because it gets pretty crazy towards the end there. A real good main event to end a real fun show).
OVERALL SCORE: 7.75/10 (Look, if you like just straight up watching Fire Pro Wrestling for a good hour, there is a high possibility that you are going to like this show. It doesn’t offer much in terms of pure storylines and building up to future matches, but all the contests were good to great, HitKid provided some excellent commentary, and I’m pretty sure every match on this card went less than 15 minutes (real time), so I have very little to complain about in this review. The video quality is something that can be an issue if you’re a stickler for that kind of thing and probably should’ve been fixed at this point in time. Other than that, this was just an easy show to sit through, so thumbs up from me!)
I've still got more shows to get to like UCCW's 225 Live, FvH Fandemonium, WFS/UCWL's Wicked Worlds, and even a throwback review of something special. However, if you've got a show you want me to review, make sure to leave a response in the comment section below!
